Ardsley Firefighters Memorial Park
The Ardsley Engine Company / Ardsley Fire Department, is proud to announce the dedication of their Fallen Firefighter Memorial. This 2 year project, the result of countless hours of research, brain storming, fund raising, and donations, will be unveiled on September 12th, 2004 @ 1:00 pm at Firefighter Park in the Village Square, Ardsley New York. The monument is based on an 1896 banner owned by the Engine Company. It depicts a firefighter rescuing a small child from a building. Given by residents of the county, as an award for being the ‘Favorite Fire Department in Westchester’. This banner, a beautiful oil on canvas and silk, is currently being restored for preservation. The monument itself, is represents the side of a building, with a small bronze statue of the firefighter and child. The floor holds engraved bricks with the names of the deceased member of the fire department. Any further requests for information may be directed to: Ex Chief Adam Novich via EMTBravo.
